Erin is an actor, yoga teacher, aerialist, *deep breath*, director, and writer based in Chicago.

The connection between mind and body is something that has always driven her. Using her movement as a tool, she is inspired by the way people can reach out and touch the world around them, and in turn, move each other. Through coming home to our bodies, we come home to experiencing the world around us.

She believes that art, in its most inherent form, is connection. As many ways we can connect with ourselves, listening to the way our bodies flow and react with the world, we can connect with audiences.

Originally from Chicago, she thrives in fast-paced theater. She pursued an education of directing and acting in order to gain a versatile perspective in the arts. You will never find her doing just one thing. She’s a multitasker at her core. Her knowledge of movement aids her acting aids her directing aids her writing.

Graduating from UC Santa Barbara, she received a BFA in Acting with honors and was awarded the Dilling Yang Scholarship for Excellence in Dramatic Art. She’s traveled the world with her craft, performing in Italy and Prague. After working in LA for a year, walking in red carpets and exploring the film industry, she realized her heart still lies in Chicago and has been there ever since.

As a director, Erin has a playful and explorative approach to her work. She has assistant directed at a LORT-C theater, co-led a new works festival, independently directed and produced a full-length play, co-founded a sketch comedy show, and more. Her mission as a director’s to preserve the inner child in art, exploring this refined world with dirt underneath our fingernails and a persistent joy.

She continues her studies through weekly Shakespeare discussions led by Gregory Linington, aerial and yoga classes through her respective studios, and working on her newest play, The Hamburger Story.

In her free time, you can catch Erin exploring new coffee places, or staying active in any new way she can find. She loves connecting with her body, whether it be through yoga, aerial training, running, or weightlifting. For over two years, she has taken on training in aerial silks, rope, trapeze, and Lyra from Aeriform in LA, Actor’s Gymnasium in Evanston, Seventh Dimension Dance Studio in Santa Barbara, and Christina McCarthy.

Erin received her 200-Hour Yoga Certification through Yoga Soup, currently teaching at UFC Gym, ASNA Studio, and Health Fitness.
